There's nothing quite like a dress that feels like it was made for you. We know shopping online can be a little intimidating, which is why we go above and beyond to make sure that you can find your perfect fit.
We're on hand to give you guidance on what size will fit you best, and free shippings and returns within the USA means that if it's not a 100% perfect fit when it arrives, you can easily switch it for one that is.
These dresses are fully functional wraps, so the fit is determined by the tightness of the wrap. Most customers wear a camisole underneath their wrap dresses. If you're unsure of sizes or would like more coverage, we recommend sizing up. There's also a tall version this dress available, which has more length in the torso, as well as providing some extra length in the skirt.
If we can help with any specific sizing questions PLEASE BE IN TOUCH and we'd be glad to help.
Kindreds love the Alice Chambray for her versatility; she's elegant enough to be dressed up with pearls and heels of an evening, or worn with a sunhat and sandals for daytime adventures and casual exploring.
Expecting and new mamas appreciate the flexibility of the wrap style, and love how this dress can flatter their body whatever stage they're at. See some of the different and unique ways our customers are styling their dresses, here.
Virginia Dare Dress Co. (VDDCO, for short) is a small, woman-led company built on the principle that we should treat others as we would wish to be treated ourselves.
Relationships are at the heart of everything we do; we love delighting our customers with amazing service and the beautiful fit and quality of our dresses, honoring the craft of our sewers and suppliers, and using what we have to cheer others on, simply for the love of reminding them that they're not alone.
We regularly donate a portion of our sales and dresses to local organizations, and our Solidarity Dresses scheme enables people to nominate a friend who's having a hard time so that we can brighten their life with a beautiful dress.
In keeping with our desire to treat others well and put relationships first, our clothes have always been made in factories that we've visited and vetted in person. We started out working with a factory and then atelier in Guatemala, and we recently moved the production to a small factory in Pennsylvania so that we could be more easily involved in the design process, have even closer relationships with our manufacturers, and always ensure the highest quality and attention to detail at every stage of the process.
